Daniel A. Garcia, an attorney in the
Ft. Lauderdale,
Florida office of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, has been appointed by the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA) as that organization’s Deputy President for Broward County, Florida. The appointment became effective on May 1, 2011.
The HNBA is an incorporated, not-for-profit, national membership organization that represents the interests of the more than 100,000 Hispanic attorneys, judges, law professors, legal assistants and law students in the United States and its territories. Part of the organization's mission is to serve as the national voice for the concerns and opinions of Hispanics in the community generally, and in the legal profession in particular. As Deputy President for Broward County, Mr. Garcia will fulfill that mission for Hispanics in Broward County.
Mr. Garcia is a litigator who focuses his practice in the areas of products liability defense and toxic tort disputes. He has handled products liability and mass tort litigation pertaining to asbestos since 2004.
Mr. Garcia earned his J.D. in 1999 from Stetson University College of Law and his B.S. from Florida State University at Tallahassee in 1996. He speaks Spanish fluently.
