MIAMI ― The national law firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP announced today that professional liability defense litigator
Patricia Lynch Franklin has joined the firm as a partner in its
Miami office. She was previously a named partner with Bush, Augspurger & Lynch, P.A. in Miami, since 2001.
“Patricia joins a team of highly experienced litigators in our Miami office and firm wide, and brings particular know-how in the area of professional liability defense,” said
Ronald L. Kammer, Partner in Charge of Hinshaw’s Miami office. “Hinshaw has one of the largest and most respected professional liability practices in the United States, more than 125 attorneys strong. With consistent increases in professional liability cases filed each year, Patricia’s experience was a natural fit for our clients’ expanding needs, and we’re delighted to welcome her to the office,” he said.

Over the length of her legal career, Ms. Franklin has successfully defended a myriad of lawyers, psychologists, insurance agents, real estate agents and accounting and other professionals against claims related to legal malpractice, medical malpractice, accounting malpractice, personal injury, divorce and nuptial agreements, and employment discrimination.
She also has extensive experience representing both large and small insurers in coverage issues, as well as employment discrimination cases involving schools, school districts and law enforcement agencies.
Ms. Franklin began her career in 1993 as an associate with the New Orleans firm of Phelps, Dunbar, LLP. She moved to Deutsch, Kerrigan & Styles, LLP in 1996 where she became a partner and remained until 2001.
She earned her J.D. in 1992 from Loyola University School of Law, where she served as an editor of the Loyola Law Review. She received her B.A., summa cum laude, from Tulane University in 1988.
