Scott Dosek is a litigator with substantial trial experience at both the state and federal levels. He has first-chaired more than 100 bench trials and dozens of jury trials. In addition, Mr. Dosek serves as a third party neutral in the mediation of disputes, and also as an independent arbitrator.
His practice experience includes:
- Representing a publicly traded company in a multimillion- dollar claim for fraud, RICO, misrepresentation and breach of contract against one of the world’s largest, independent credit card issuers.
- Defending a member of the board of directors of a failed corporation against claims asserted by the company’s creditors.
- Representing a major public utility company in catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases throughout Arizona.
- Representing a municipality in the defense of claims brought by a contractor regarding the construction of a municipal waste water treatment plant.
- Representing an industrial contractor in various claims involving the construction of waste water treatment facilities.
- Representing financial institutions and their regulatory bodies in numerous multimillion-dollar claims involving borrowers, guarantors and federal regulatory issues.
Mr. Dosek joined Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP in January 2010. Previously he was a partner at Kutak Rock LLP in their Scottsdale, Arizona, office, where he managed their litigation practice for 16 years. Mr. Dosek is the Partner-in-Charge of the Phoenix office.
Mr. Dosek is a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of Arizona (Chair, Civil Jury Instruction Committee, 2007 – 2009 and member, Professionalism Committee) and the Nebraska Bar Association (past chair, Civil Practice and Procedure Committee). He is also a Superior Court Judge
Pro Tem for Maricopa County.
Mr. Dosek has been teaching the State Bar of Arizona’s course in Professionalism since 1999.
