Daniel P. Slayden focuses the majority of his litigation work in the area of medical malpractice. He also has a practice concentration in personal injury litigation.
Mr. Slayden joined Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP in June 1989. He is the Partner-in-Charge of the Joliet office and is the Leader of the firm’s Medical Litigation Practice Group. Before joining the firm, he was an Assistant State’s Attorney for Cook County, practicing civil rights litigation in the Northern District of Illinois.
Mr. Slayden is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the
Will County Bar Association. He has been rated by Martindale-Hubbell for ethics and legal ability. Mr. Slayden is also a member of the Leading Lawyers Network, where he was selected by his peers as a Leading Lawyer in the areas of Medical Malpractice Defense Law and Personal Injury Defense Law (General).
Mr. Slayden has spoken on medical malpractice and related topics at seminars held by a number of client hospitals. Examples of his presentations include:
