David H. Ro

Practice Focus
David Ro devotes his practice to the defense of workers’ compensation claims for self-insured employers and insurance companies. He is skilled in all aspects of workers’ compensation litigation, including 132(a) and serious and willful claims.

Mr. Ro appears on his clients’ behalf at court hearings, trials and depositions. He defends clients against fraudulent workers’ compensation claims and works in tandem with the Los Angeles District Attorneys to prosecute them.

Mr. Ro has represented clients such as Barrett Business Services, Sea Bright Insurance Company, Travelers Insurance Company, CIGA, Los Angeles MTA and the Los Angeles Unified School District.
Professional Background
Mr. Ro joined Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP in November 2005. Previously he was an associate for one year with the Sherman Oaks law firm of Bredfeldt, Corson & Odukoya; and for three years with Kegel, Tobin & Truce in Los Angeles.

Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Ro clerked at the Law Offices of Sandra Stillwater in Beverly Hills. During law school, he served as a certified law clerk with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office, and also worked as a research assistant for the law school during the summer of 1998.

Prior to his legal career, Mr. Ro was in management for a painting and maintenance company where he reviewed agreements and contracts, managed and ordered work materials, and prepared billing and financial statements for the company.

Mr. Ro is a member of the Korean American Bar Association. He is conversant in Korean.
