David R. Mylrea

Practice Focus
David Mylrea has extensive experience in complex commercial finance transactions involving offerings of debt and equity, leases, loans and project financing. He handles all facets of complex, multimillion-dollar financings, including origination, negotiation and preparation of definitive documentation, closing and funding.

Mr. Mylrea concentrates his practice in the area of representing banks, investment banks and specialty financial service companies in connection with secured financing transactions with emphasis in real estate and land development. He also represents entrepreneurs and business owners in connection with various business matters, including organization and capitalization of new business ventures.

Formerly a “Key-Person Licensee” in Nevada and New Jersey, Mr. Mylrea has extensive experience with the gaming regulatory laws, rules and regulations in all major U.S. gaming jurisdictions.
Professional Background
Mr. Mylrea joined Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP in June 1999. He is the Business Development Partner for one of the firm’s two Business Transactions Departments. He is the Partner-in-Charge of the Minneapolis office, and a past regional director and past member of Hinshaw’s Executive Committee. Previously, he served as Chief Operating Officer, Secretary, General Counsel and a Director of a publicly traded specialty financial services company located in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.

Mr. Mylrea’s professional affiliations reflect his practice emphasis. He is a member of the American Bar Association’s Section on Corporation, Banking and Business Law. He is also a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and the Hennepin County Bar Association. Mr. Mylrea has been rated by Martindale-Hubbell for ethics and legal ability.
