Danielle Costello is a corporate health care attorney. She represents health care providers such as health systems, hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers and practitioners in their business and regulatory matters, counseling clients on corporate regulatory compliance, fraud and abuse and labor and employment matters.
Ms. Costello joined Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP as an associate in October 2009. Previously she was a law clerk with the firm in 2007 and a summer associate in 2008.
In addition to her other law school achievements, Ms. Costello received the Dean’s Academic Achievement Award. She was a member of Law Review from 2007 to 2009. She served as Managing Editor, Business Editor and Malt & Barley Editor from 2008 to 2009.
During law school, Ms. Costello externed at the University of Wisconsin Medical Foundation (the clinical practice organization for faculty physicians of the University’s School of Medicine and Public Health). She worked under the vice President of Legal Services, addressing matters such as board governance, patient privacy and other regulatory matters. Ms. Costello also participated in the Center for Patient Partnership, a clinic in which she worked directly with clients to help them make more informed medical decisions and access the care they needed.
During her undergraduate studies, Ms. Costello interned as a best practices knowledge intern at Press Ganey (a health care satisfaction measurement company) in South Bend, Indiana. She was also a student ambassador for both the School of Science and the career center at Purdue University.
Ms. Costello is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, Winnebago County Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association and the Illinois Association of Healthcare Attorneys.

Ms. Costello serves on the Economic Restructuring Committee of River District Association, a not-for-profit organization devoted to improving the downtown Rockford, Illinois area.
Danielle remains a devoted Purdue Boilermaker.
