David Alfini’s general commercial and tort litigation practice includes representation of banking and self-insured entities on a nationwide basis. He also handles automotive and product liability related cases. Mr. Alfini joined Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP in June 1999.


From 2008 to 2010, Illinois Super Lawyers magazine named Mr. Alfini annually to its Rising Stars list. Recipients of this award have practiced law for less than 10 years or are 40 years old or younger.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Alfini was a data management professional in the field of pharmaceutical research. He also spent several years in Prague in the Czech Republic working as a clinical outcome medical research assistant in the field of cardiac and transplant surgery under the Czech Ministry of Health. Mr. Alfini co-authored "Medical Information and Communication Network: A Case Study on the Use of Health Systems Research in the Czech Republic," which was presented at the Third General FICOSSER/WHO Conference in Helsinki, Finland in 1994.
