Clay Ullrick is a commercial litigation attorney who concentrates his practice on employment litigation and counseling.
Mr. Ullrick has represented employers in a wide variety of labor and employment law matters, including the defense of class action employment lawsuits, in state and federal courts, administrative hearings and alternative dispute resolution forums. Mr. Ullrick has successfully defended clients from claims based on age, race, gender and national origin discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour violations, defamation, breach of contract and other tort claims. He has experience protecting employers’ trade secrets and proprietary information and enforcing restrictive covenants.
Mr. Ullrick also counsels employers on all types of employment issues including hiring and termination decisions, drafting and enforcing employment policies, conducting workplace investigations, managing employee leaves of absence, complying with wage and hour laws, negotiating and drafting employment agreements and complying with federal and state equal opportunity laws.
Mr. Ullrick joined Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP in January 2003. Previously, he advised clients on employment issues and represented employers in litigation matters as an attorney at Baker & McKenzie, Chicago.
