CHICAGO ― Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP today announced that litigator
E. Scott Dosek has joined the firm as a partner in its
Phoenix office.
He comes to Hinshaw from the Scottsdale office of Kutak Rock LLP where he served as a partner and managed their litigation practice for 16 years.
A litigator with substantial trial experience at both the state and federal levels, Mr. Dosek has first-chaired more than 100 bench trials and dozens of jury trials. He focuses his practice in the areas of commercial litigation, products liability, environmental and construction litigation. He also serves as a third party neutral in the mediation of disputes, and as an independent arbitrator.
His recent experience includes representing a publicly traded company in a multimillion- dollar claim for fraud, RICO, misrepresentation and breach of contract against one of the world’s largest, independent credit card issuers. He has also represented financial institutions and their regulatory bodies in numerous multimillion-dollar claims involving borrowers, guarantors and federal regulatory issues.

Mr. Dosek is a member of the Professionalism Committee of the State Bar of Arizona, and previously served as Chair of its Civil Jury Instruction Committee (2007 – 2009). He is a past Chair of the Civil Practice and Procedure Committee for the Nebraska Bar Association, and he continues to serve as a Superior Court Judge Pro Tem for Maricopa County.
He has been teaching the State Bar of Arizona’s course in Professionalism since 1999.
Mr. Dosek received his J.D. from Creighton University School of Law in 1978, and his B.S. in Business Administration from University of Nebraska in 1972.
