Caroline Mondschean focuses her practice in professional liability litigation and appellate work, including the defense of attorneys, trustees, accountants and other professionals.

She has been trial and appellate attorney of record in many published and non-published decisions involving professional liability issues, particularly in defense of lawyers, trustees and accountants in Illinois.

Ms. Mondschean’s practice also includes representing professional corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships and individuals on litigation avoidance and lawsuits arising out of business torts, contract and employment disputes.

Ms. Mondschean joined Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP in 1989. She has been a member of Hinshaw’s Lawyers for the Profession® practice group since joining the firm. She is a member of the Chicago Bar Association.

Ms. Mondschean is a member of the Leading Lawyers Network and has been selected by her peers as a Leading Lawyer in the area of Professional Malpractice Defense Law: Including Legal/Technical/Financial. Ms. Mondschean has lectured before many legal and healthcare professionals on professional liability, medical malpractice and defense issues. Her presentations include:
