Business Litigator Donohue Joins San Francisco Office

CHICAGO and SAN FRANCISCO ― The national law firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP announced today that business litigator Edward F. Donohue, III, has joined the firm as a partner in its San Francisco office. He previously served as a partner with Carlson, Calladine & Peterson LLP.

“Ed is a strong addition to our business litigation practice, an area of accelerated client need throughout California and nationwide,” said Donald L. Mrozek, Chairman of Hinshaw. “He brings excellent experience in hot areas of business litigation, including representing banks in matters including deposit losses, foreclosures, bankruptcy, employment disputes, lender liability litigation and crime losses.”

While Mr. Donohue primarily represents insurance and financial services companies, he also represents broker-dealers, underwriters and futures commission merchants in investor litigation, employment disputes, life and health policyholder disputes and regulatory matters. In addition, he represents professionals and directors and officers in business disputes, class actions, derivative suits and malpractice litigation.

Mr. Donohue began his legal career in 1981 as an associate at Foreman & Dyess, and later served as a partner at Long & Levitt LLP from 1984 to 2004

He holds a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center (1981), where he served as the Associate Editor of the American Criminal Law Review, and a B.A., magna cum laude, in Political Science from Fordham University (1978). He is a member of the Bar Association of San Francisco, San Francisco Bank Attorneys Association and the Irish American Bar Association.
