Valerie Morozov focuses her practice in professional responsibility and professional liability defense. She represents and defends attorneys and other professionals in matters involving claims of professional liability.
Prior to joining Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP in August 2015, Ms. Morozov was a law clerk for the Rhode Island Supreme Court Trial Court Law Clerk Department, where she was assigned to the Motion Calendar with the Honorable Richard A. Licht. During law school, she practiced as a Rule 9 Student Attorney with the Rhode Island Office of the Attorney General. In addition, throughout law school, Ms. Morozov served a series of legal internships, including with the U.S. Attorney's Office, District of Rhode Island and with the Honorable O. Rogeriee Thompson on U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
Ms. Morozov was part of the honors program in law school, receiving the merit based Massasoit Scholarship. Her other law school accomplishments include earning CALI Awards for the highest grade in Legal Methods I, Legal Methods II, and Refugee & Asylum Law. Ms. Morozov was a member of the Student Bar Association where she served as 3L Class Representative. She was also a member of the Association for Public Interest Law and the Women's Law Society.
During her undergraduate studies, Ms. Morozov worked as an intern in the offices of U.S. Senator for Rhode Island, Jack Reed.
Ms. Morozov speaks Russian fluently.
