Rob Tucker is a civil trial lawyer who focuses his practice on the defense of consumer protection statutes, personal injury, property damage, and wrongful death claims. He has a unique perspective on the cases he handles based on his vast experience representing both the defense and plaintiff sides, which demonstrates his value in the defense of his clients in both state and federal courts. Mr. Tucker's clients include debt collection agencies, debt buyers, national and regional insurers and large self-insured companies.

Mr. Tucker is also experienced in handling commercial litigation. Specifically, he defended a national finance company and other national corporations in state and federal individual and class-action litigation, with factual issues ranging from alleged violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act, Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act.

Professional Background

Prior to joining Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, Mr. Tucker was the statewide managing attorney for the civil litigation department in a Tampa, Florida based plaintiff's trial and class action firm. Earlier in his career and before relocating to Tampa, Florida, he worked in South Florida, handling an array of insurance defense matters, including, but not limited to the defense of automobile negligence involving personal injury and wrongful death, and premises liability cases, involving injuries that occurred at restaurants, hotels, as well as other premises.

During law school, Mr. Tucker served a series of clerkships; two with Florida law firms, and one as a judicial clerk to the Honorable James W. Whatley, Florida Second District Court of Appeal located in Tampa, Florida.
