Michael Zimmerman is an associate in firm’s the Litigation department. He is active in business litigations for multinational and domestic corporations, including financial services and internet technology firms. Mr. Zimmerman is also active in matters related to reinsurance and alternative risk transfers for domestic and foreign reinsurers.

Mr. Zimmerman drafts all materials for litigation including pleadings, motions, discovery demands, interrogatories, subpoenas and settlement agreements.

Mr. Zimmerman also drafts corporate privacy policies, licensing agreements, and various registrations for early-stage companies.

Professional Background

Mr. Zimmerman joined Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP as a litigation associate in 2015. He was a summer associate and then law clerk with the firm throughout his third year of law school.  

Mr. Zimmerman’s scholarship on the relationship between emerging communications technology and criminal procedure has been cited by the Missouri Court of Appeals and by other distinguished legal publications.

Prior to joining Hinshaw, Michael held regulatory positions at a global investment banking firm and at a UK-based information and measurement company. He also provided pro bono representation to consumers in Supreme Court, New York County.
