Michael Cassata focuses his practice in the defense of insurance matters involving coverage and reinsurance disputes and bad faith claims. He is involved in all phases of the litigation process, including taking depositions, researching and drafting motions, and trial preparation.
Prior to joining Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, Mr. Cassata was an attorney in an Oakland, California firm focusing on complex insurance fraud, medical malpractice defense, and employment defense.
While in law school, Mr. Cassata was a recipient of multiple Witkin Awards for Academic Excellence, in Civil Procedure, Trial Advocacy, and Community Property.
