Kathryn Harvey focuses her litigation practice in premises liability defense and personal injury defense for insurance companies, as well as subrogation and employment law. Ms. Harvey appears in court regularly on behalf of her insurance company clients. Ms. Harvey is involved in all phases of the litigation process. She drafts complaints and discovery, as well as communicating with expert witnesses, and during law school, as part of Vanderbilt's Appellate Litigation Clinic, Ms. Harvey successfully represented a client in an appeal of sentence before the Sixth Circuit.

Professional Background

Prior to joining Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP in June 2015, Ms. Harvey was an associate at a small litigation boutique in Chicago.  Ms. Harvey also worked for the general counsel of the Tampa Bay Rays.  In law school, Ms. Harvey was an extern to the Honorable Stephanie K. Bowman, Magistrate Judge, U.S. District Court, Southern District of Ohio.  During her undergraduate studies Ms. Harvey was an intern to the Honorable James D. Humphrey, Dearborn County Circuit Court, Lawrenceburg, Indiana.

Ms. Harvey's law school accomplishments include having been a member of the Federalist Society and the Women Law Students Association. She was a contributor to Obiter Dictum, a magazine for prospective students. Ms. Harvey also competed in Moot Court, and was the recipient of A+ in Sports Law.
