SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Geri Lynn Arrindell, an attorney in the
Springfield,
Illinois, office of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, has been appointed to the Illinois State Bar Association’s Standing Committee on Judicial Evaluations - Outside Cook County (Committee). She will formally be introduced to fellow members at the Committee’s December 11, 2009 meeting in Chicago.
Ms. Arrindell’s term on the Committee is to run for two years. Her responsibilities as a member will include investigating and evaluating candidates for various judicial appointments.
The Committee’s mission is to investigate and evaluate the qualifications of (1) Illinois candidates for nomination to the U.S. District Court and Circuit Court of Appeals; and (2) candidates for nomination, election, retention and appointment to the Illinois Supreme Court in all judicial districts, and to the Illinois Appellate Court in districts outside of Cook County.
Ms. Arrindell focuses her practice in commercial litigation matters, including employment law, governmental affairs and regulation. She has diverse and considerable litigation experience representing state agencies and governmental employees and has handled employment law, personal injury and civil rights cases before state boards, commissions and in federal court.
