Four New Associates Added to Firm

Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP announces the addition of four new associates to the firm's Florida, Illinois and Massachusetts offices. The new associates include the following:

Miami, Florida Office of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP

John J. Cavo, 34. John Cavo focuses his practice in the area of insurance coverage litigation. His experience extends to first and third party coverage, professional liability coverage, reinsurance, and automobile and trucking insurance. Mr. Cavo earned his J.D. in 2000 from St. Thomas University School of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude and served as Editor-in-Chief of the St. Thomas Law Review.

Melissa A. Gillinov, 30. Melissa Gillinov focuses her practice primarily in the area of commercial insurance coverage matters. She provides coverage opinions for insurer clients and litigates coverage disputes. Previously Ms. Gillinov was for two years a law clerk to the Honorable W. Matthew Stevenson, then Chief Judge of the Fourth District Court of Appeal in West Palm Beach, Florida. Ms. Gillinov earned her J.D. in 2003 from American University Washington College of Law, where she served as Articles Editor of Administrative Law Review.

Daniel E. Wiesch, 33. Daniel Wiesch has a diverse litigation practice with emphasis on the defense of medical malpractice claims. He also has experience litigating commercial litigation matters, construction defect claims, employment disputes, nursing home liability claims and products liability claims. Mr. Wiesch has obtained defense verdicts in more than 10 jury trials as lead counsel, and assisted as second chair counsel on several others. He earned his J.D. in 2001 from the University of Illinois College of Law, graduating cum laude.

Samuel C. Bodurtha, 31. Samuel Bodurtha focuses his practice in the area of professional liability with particular emphasis on the representation of attorneys in liability matters. He also represents insurance companies in coverage matters, providing coverage opinions and litigating coverage disputes. Mr. Bodurtha earned his J.D. in 2004 from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where he graduated cum laude and received the Paul J. Hergenroeder Award for Excellence in Trial Tactics.
