Sabo Appointed to ISBA’s Bench and Bar Section Council

CHICAGO ― John E. Sabo, a Partner in Hinshaw’s Belleville and Edwardsville offices, has been appointed to the Council of the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) Bench and Bar Section. Mr. Sabo has been a member of the ISBA for more than 20 years.

The ISBA Bench and Bar Section is comprised of judges and members of the Bar. Its mission is to improve communication among state and federal judges, the Illinois State Bar Association and the practicing bar; to promote and work for modernization and improvement of the court system and the procedures therein, including but not limited to compilation and dissemination of minimum standards relating to judicial administration; to establish and carry out programs which address mutual concerns of the judiciary and the bar which are designed to improve relations between bench and bar.

Mr. Sabo has extensive experience in defending clients in civil litigation in state and federal courts involving commercial litigation, such as banking and consumer finance, subprime mortgage litigation, commercial contracts, real estate disputes, consumer protection litigation and insurance coverage. Mr. Sabo’s personal injury litigation experience includes general liability claims, product liability claims, nursing home litigation, toxic tort claims, transportation claims, including FELA, and trucking accidents involving catastrophic injuries and death. He has also successfully defended clients in dozens of class actions.
